We are seeking a
Realtor – Land Acquisition
to help secure 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of land in the Mombasa region for a pilot 0.3 MW ground-mounted solar farm, with plans to scale to 5 MW. Priority is land inside/near
Dongo Kundu SEZ
, or alternatively in nearby growth zones (Kwale, Likoni, Mariakani, Miritini, Mazeras). Land must be accessible, outside floodplains, and near medium-voltage (11–33 kV) lines.
Responsibilities
- Scout and evaluate land parcels with GPS, photos, and site access verification
- Confirm zoning, title status, and pricing (avoid inflated broker rates)
- Support negotiations with landowners, brokers, and SEZ/county offices
- Provide reports, live video updates, and insights on local permitting/politics
Requirements
- Based in Mombasa/Kwale or nearby areas with proven real estate/land scouting experience
- Familiar with industrial/commercial land, utility/telco siting, or similar projects
- Fluent in Swahili & English; strong local network
- Tech skills: GPS, Google Maps, WhatsApp video; drone use is a plus
Compensation
- Flexible hourly or milestone-based (Max 3 weeks of work)
