  • Diagnose plant diseases, pest infestations, and nutrient deficiencies, recommending effective control measures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new agricultural technologies and tools for improved efficiency and yield.
  • Analyze soil, tissue, and water data to inform management decisions.
  • Conduct field trials and research to assess crop performance and adapt practices.
  • Educate farmers and stakeholders on best agronomic practices and new techniques.
  • Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in agronomy and sustainable agriculture.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice guidelines and training materials.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a related agricultural field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in agronomy and crop production.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainable farming strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, pest management, and plant pathology.
  • Proficiency with precision agriculture technologies and farm data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex agronomic information remotely.
  • Experience working with diverse crop types and farming systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple consultations and deliver results in a remote environment.
