About the Role Our client, a prestigious architectural firm renowned for its specialization in healthcare facility design, is seeking a highly proficient Healthcare Architect to join their dedicated team in **Kisumu**. This is a full-time, on-site position, offering the chance to contribute significantly to the planning, design, and construction of state-of-the-art medical environments. You will work closely with healthcare providers, administrators, and regulatory bodies to create functional, safe, and patient-centric spaces. This role demands a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, operational workflows, and the unique technical requirements of medical facilities. Become a vital part of shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure in the region and beyond. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural design process for new healthcare facilities and renovations, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare codes and standards (e.g., accessibility, infection control, life safety).
  • Develop detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using advanced CAD and BIM software.
  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to understand their operational needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants (MEP, structural, civil) to integrate building systems seamlessly.
  • Conduct site visits and construction administration to ensure the project is built according to design intent and specifications.
  • Research and recommend appropriate materials and technologies for healthcare environments.

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of architectural experience, with a significant focus on healthcare facility design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare planning, design principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant architectural design software.
  • Strong understanding of medical equipment requirements and infection control protocols.
