Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components in an industrial setting.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in machinery, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize production disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production staff to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Inspect and test electrical equipment, components, and circuits using testing devices.
- Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies, safety practices, and industry trends.
- Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to industrial electrical work (e.g., lockout/tagout procedures).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical ability to work in various industrial environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Willingness to work shifts, including occasional overtime, as required by production needs.
