• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Master Technician or Senior Diagnostic Specialist.
• Proficiency with a wide range of automotive diagnostic equipment and software (e.g., OBD-II scanners, oscilloscopes, advanced diagnostic platforms).
• Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, hybrid and electric vehicle systems, transmission systems, braking systems, and HVAC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working in a remote or tele-support environment is highly advantageous.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE Master Technician) are strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with automotive repair shop operations is a plus.

As a Lab Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana, you will be responsible for providing medical laboratory (analytical) services and contribute to patient care through good laboratory practice and adherence to quality assurance measures. This role allows you to contribute to impactful projects, enhance our technical skills and be part of advancing scientific progress.

Key deliverables:

• Carry out routine and special laboratory tests and provide cover in the diagnostic laboratory areas where necessary.
• Undertake technical work of the laboratory within acceptable turnaround times in accordance with Shalina Diagnostics standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Document and keep accurate records (log) to maintain good laboratory practice.
• Provide a high standard of technical service as a member of the health care team to assist in efficient delivery of patient care.
• Ensure equipment in your care is maintained to the standards required
• by Shalina Diagnostics and by relevant legislation.
• Implement internal Quality Control (QC) measures of technical procedures.
• Assist in research, evaluation of new techniques and laboratory audits.

Essential qualifications, experience and skills:

• Medical laboratory science (Diploma, Certificate, or Degree)

• Provide remote expert guidance and support to on-site automotive technicians for complex diagnostic challenges.
• Analyze diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), sensor data, and vehicle telemetry to identify root causes of issues.
• Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and repair manuals to develop effective repair strategies.
• Utilize remote diagnostic software and hardware to connect with and troubleshoot vehicle systems.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of automotive systems, technologies, and diagnostic procedures.

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong specialization in diagnostics.
• Expertise in using a variety of automotive diagnostic equipment and software (e.g., OBD-II scanners, oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines, vehicle electrical systems, transmission systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues remotely.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information to technicians with varying levels of expertise.
• Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE certifications) are highly preferred.
• Experience with remote support tools and platforms is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
