The successful candidate will oversee our import and export operations outside Kenya, across the larger East Africa region, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing logistics processes to strengthen our market presence and enhance customer satisfaction.
What to expect

- Imports and Export Strategy Development
: Develop and implement strategies to expand export operations and increase market share across East Africa. - Regulatory Compliance
: Ensure all import and export activities adhere to local and international regulations, including customs procedures and documentation requirements. - Customer Relationship Management
: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners in the East Africa region, proactively addressing their needs and feedback. - Logistics Coordination
: Oversee logistics and supply chain management for all imports and exports, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. - Market Analysis
: Conduct market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of industry import-export trends.
Essential education, experience & skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in import-export management or international sales, preferably in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of export regulations and logistics processes in East Africa.
- Proficient in data analysis and using metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

The role involves managing existing customer relationships, identifying new sales opportunities, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while complying with healthcare regulations.
Key deliverables:
- Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to existing and new customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacists, doctors, and healthcare professionals.
- Provide product knowledge, promotions, and updates to customers.
- Identify and seize opportunities for increased sales and market expansion.
- Deliver pharmaceutical products to customers as per the scheduled route.
- Ensure proper stock levels at customer locations and offer restocking recommendations.
- Handle cash sales, invoices, and ensure timely deposits when required.

What you become a part of:
As a Lab Technician at Shalina Diagnostics Ghana, you will be responsible for providing medical laboratory (analytical) services and contribute to patient care through good laboratory practice and adherence to quality assurance measures. This role allows you to contribute to impactful projects, enhance our technical skills and be part of advancing scientific progress.
Key deliverables:
- Carry out routine and special laboratory tests and provide cover in the diagnostic laboratory areas where necessary.
- Undertake technical work of the laboratory within acceptable turnaround times in accordance with Shalina Diagnostics standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Document and keep accurate records (log) to maintain good laboratory practice.
- Provide a high standard of technical service as a member of the health care team to assist in efficient delivery of patient care.
- Ensure equipment in your care is maintained to the standards required
- by Shalina Diagnostics and by relevant legislation.
- Implement internal Quality Control (QC) measures of technical procedures.
- Assist in research, evaluation of new techniques and laboratory audits.
