The Position

The Chief of Partnerships and Business Development (CPBD) will shape and lead AGRA's institution-wide partnership and fundraising agenda, positioning the organization to attract, align, and sustain diverse forms of capital and collaboration in support of its strategy.

This role combines relationship stewardship, strategic positioning, resource mobilization, and investment partnership development. The CPBD will manage and grow AGRA's ecosystem of funders and strategic partners, while also designing innovative, fit-for-purpose investment and partnership platforms to advance food systems transformation.

This leadership opportunity is for an individual with deep integrity, cross-cultural intelligence, and a passion for designing systems that shape the future. A senior, strategic leader with deep credibility across development, investment, and philanthropy networks. The CPBD will report directly to AGRA's President and serve on the Executive Committee.

The CPBD will:

Our client, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is looking for a strategic and results-driven Remote E-commerce Strategy Manager. This position is critical for expanding our client's digital footprint and driving online sales growth across various e-commerce platforms. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive e-commerce strategies, optimizing online product presentation, managing digital marketing campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to ensure maximum ROI. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the FMCG market, e-commerce best practices, and a proven ability to manage complex digital initiatives in a fully remote capacity, with a keen focus on optimizing sales for customers connected to the **Mombasa, Mombasa, KE** market.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data-driven e-commerce strategies to drive online sales and market share growth.
  • Manage and optimize product listings across multiple e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Jumia, client's own D2C site), ensuring accurate descriptions, compelling imagery, and competitive pricing.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and email marketing, to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Monitor e-commerce KPIs, analyze sales data, website traffic, and customer behavior to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of online promotions and inventory management.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the online FMCG space.
  • Manage the e-commerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.
  • Stay current with e-commerce technologies, platforms, and best practices, recommending innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with e-commerce platform partners.
  • Provide regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce management, with a strong focus on the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing e-commerce strategies that drive significant sales growth.
  • In-depth knowledge of various e-commerce platforms, digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
  • Experience with D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) models is a plus.
