Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced 
Product Manager
 with expertise in 
fintech
and the 
humanitarian aid sector
. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of our payment solutions and CVA platform, ensuring they meet the needs of humanitarian actors while leveraging modern financial technology.

You will work at the intersection of aid delivery and financial innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, compliance, partnerships) to build products that are both impact-driven and commercially scalable.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Development and management of the product roadmap, including long-term vision and short-term priorities.
  • Translate humanitarian needs into fintech product requirements, aligning with sector standards (e.g., CALP Network guidelines).
  • Define MVP scope, set OKRs, and prioritize features to deliver a launch-ready version within 6 months.
  • Monitor market trends and adapt emerging technologies for humanitarian use cases.

Product Development & Delivery

  • Lead agile product development cycles, writing user stories and functional specifications.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Oversee pilots, field testing, and user feedback to refine solutions for inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, data protection, and financial security standards (KYC/AML).

Humanitarian & Fintech Integration

  • Engage NGOs, donors, UN agencies and field practitioners to gather requirements and feedback.
  • Design solutions that integrate multiple payment rails (mobile money, prepaid cards, vouchers, APIs, blockchain-based systems).
  • Ensure solutions address the needs of vulnerable populations, promoting accessibility and social impact.

Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with humanitarian organizations, financial institutions, and regulators.
  • Support business development by contributing product insights in partner and donor discussions.
  • Represent OMNIAID in fintech and humanitarian tech forums as a thought leader.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • 5–10+ years of product management experience in fintech / digital payments (mobile money, APIs, wallets, remittances).
  • Proven experience in humanitarian aid / international development, particularly in CVA programs.
  • Understanding of payment systems, interoperability, and scalable platform design.
  • Ability to translate humanitarian requirements into functional fintech solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level): negotiation, documentation, presentations.

Desirable

  • Field experience in humanitarian operations.
  • Familiarity with CALP, Sphere, or related humanitarian standards.
  • Experience with compliance challenges in crisis or low-resource contexts (e.g., displaced populations).
  • Knowledge of digital identity, blockchain for aid, or alternative payment methods.
  • Multilingual skills (French, Arabic, Spanish).
