Job Summary
The role is responsible for supporting the Finance Department in maintaining accurate financial records through timely and accurate reconciliation of bank and account statements. The position plays a key role in ensuring data integrity, assisting in audit preparations, managing financial documentation, and supporting the timely posting of payments and statutory filings. The incumbent will also contribute to process improvements and provide general administrative support to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Assist in reconciling bank statements with company financial records

- Support the implementation of new reconciliation tools or software solutions
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the Finance Department

Job Summary

We are looking for someone to define, scope and manage our feature roadmap for the Kenyan market.
This person should have deep knowledge of the region, and an eye on the various competitors in the field. The ideal candidate is a proactive and motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced environment.

Key Competencies
- Sales & Target Achievement
- Achieve or exceed monthly loan disbursement and revenue objectives
- Execute effective sales activities in the field to drive loan uptake and client acquisition
- Track personal performance against set KPIs and work with the team lead to address any performance gaps
- Prospect and onboard new clients through direct sales, referrals, and market activations
- Guide clients through Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) requirements
- Clearly communicate Umbapay's financing solutions and value proposition to potential clients
- Build long-term client relationships to support retention, repeat business, and referrals
- Assist clients with loan applications and ensure accurate documentation is submitted
- Provide guidance to clients on loan terms, repayment obligations, and product use
- Monitor repayment schedules for assigned clients and follow up to ensure timely payments
- Engage with clients experiencing repayment challenges and escalate cases as needed
- Collaborate with the collections team on overdue accounts to reduce portfolio at risk (PAR)
- Ensure all client interactions and loan applications comply with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate client records, loan files, and sales activity reports
- Submit timely and accurate reports on sales performance and client engagement
- Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity
- Identify new opportunities and provide feedback to the team lead to improve sales strategies
- Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field
- At least 1–3 years in sales, banking, microfinance, or financial services
- Experience in field sales or B2B client acquisition is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales/loan targets
- knowledge of credit products, risk assessment, and loan processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field and deliver results under minimal supervision
- Sales-driven and target-oriented
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Good organizational and reporting ability
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable
- Understanding of financial products and lending practices
