Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Technician to join their remote support and diagnostics team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise to provide critical technical support for commercial HVAC systems across various locations. You will be responsible for remote troubleshooting, diagnostics, and providing guidance to on-site technicians. Your primary focus will be on identifying and resolving complex HVAC issues, ensuring optimal system performance, and minimizing downtime. This role demands an in-depth understanding of commercial HVAC systems, including refrigeration cycles, air distribution, control systems, and electrical components. You will utilize advanced diagnostic tools and remote monitoring software to assess system health and recommend corrective actions. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing sophisticated HVAC equipment. Your ability to interpret technical schematics, P&IDs, and system documentation will be essential. This remote position requires excellent communication skills, as you will be guiding less experienced technicians and liaising with clients to understand their issues. You will also contribute to the development of best practices, training materials, and preventative maintenance strategies. - Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to on-site technicians.
- Interpret system schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic data.
- Identify root causes of HVAC system malfunctions and recommend solutions.
- Monitor system performance and recommend preventative maintenance.
- Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions accurately.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and knowledge base.
- Advise on system upgrades and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through effective remote support.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or certification in HVAC.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a strong focus on commercial systems.
- EPA Universal Certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of HVAC equipment (e.g., chillers, boilers, VRF systems, rooftop units).
- Strong understanding of HVAC control systems and building automation.
- Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for remote interaction.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with remote monitoring and support platforms is a plus.
