Key Purpose Statement

Core Responsibilities

1. Daily Management of Multiple Warehouses
   : Be responsible for the daily supervision of store warehouses, distributor warehouses, and the Nairobi central warehouse, including personnel training and operational assessment. Supervise and guide the operation of the Nairobi central warehouse to ensure the compliance and efficient operation of each warehouse.
2. Full - chain Delivery Management
   : Lead the full - chain delivery process from the Nairobi central warehouse to store warehouses and distributor warehouses, covering aspects such as demand assessment, order initiation, picking, distribution, receipt signing, and system recording. Ensure the timely delivery of goods and the safety of inventory.
3. Full - process Warehouse Control
   : Assist the department head in promoting the preparation work of store warehouses, overall manage the whole process of receiving goods, shipping, storage, returns, and inventory checking. Coordinate the plans of store warehouses and distributor warehouses, strictly control inventory, and implement the restricted stock - up policy.
4. Inventory Checking and Report Compilation
   : Develop and implement the inventory checking plans for each warehouse, accurately compile the inventory checking result reports to ensure the authenticity and accuracy of inventory data.
5. Handling of Defective Goods
   : Specifically coordinate the management of defective goods in store warehouses, establish a closed - loop management mechanism, and effectively reduce inventory losses.
6. System and Collaboration Optimization
   : Establish and continuously optimize the warehouse management system to meet the needs of receiving, shipping, and inventory management. Coordinate the receiving and shipping docking work among the Nairobi central warehouse, store warehouses, and all parties to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain.

Job Requirements

1. Have 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience in warehousing and logistics, and those with warehousing management experience in competing companies are preferred.
2. Be familiar with the whole process of warehouse operations, master core skills such as inventory control and inventory checking management, and be proficient in using the warehouse management system.
3. Possess strong communication and coordination skills, problem - solving abilities, and be able to efficiently handle cross - departmental and cross - regional collaboration matters.
4. Be adaptable to the local working environment in Kenya, have strong stress resistance, and possess good sense of responsibility and execution ability.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Jotun Kenya is looking for a dynamic and results- driven Logistics and Warehouse Assistant Manager to manage our Logistics and Warehouse operations.

In this pivotal role, you will lead and elevate our logistics and warehouse function by enhancing its developments based on Jotun's values and in accordance with local, regional, segment, and corporate objectives and guidelines. Your leadership will be key in ensuring achievement of overall objectives related to safety, profitability, competitiveness, customer satisfaction, service, and quality.

This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya and reports to the Logistics and Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Warehouse and Logistics team in line with Leadership Expectations and tools to develop, coach, and guide its members to ensure a workforce that is competent, engaged, and enabled to meet Jotun's current and future needs.
• Lead the Warehouse and Logistics team function by implementing and monitoring procedures and guidelines to ensure that Warehouse and Logistics activities are compliant with local laws and regulations, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001, Jotun Operations System, and Jotun's HSEQ Management system.
• Responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing the HSEQ management system across the organization.
• Initiate, drive, and follow up continuous improvement activities by implementing the Jotun Operations System and follow up through agreed KPIs.
• Run efficient freight and warehouse tenders and research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods in cooperation with Purchasing.
• Set transportation operations guidelines, monitor delivery performance, review and approve transportation contracts, and advise on delivery improvements.
• Responsible for CSD (Customer Service Department), purchasing, and logistics teams to maintain the right stock levels, and arrange stock counting and activities to ensure correct inventory is displayed in the system.
• Manage warehouse operations like receiving and picking, quality control, and expiry date follow-up.
• Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing optimal layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair, and requisitions for replacement.

• At a minimum, a bachelor's or master's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management/ Operations Management/ Business Administration.
• 5 to 7 years' experience in a Supply Chain/ Logistics and Warehouse role, and a minimum of four years of proven leadership experience in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality standards and regulations in Kenya, and the ability to implement and monitor company-wide compliance programs.
• Well conversant with end-to-end freight/customs procedures and regulations in Kenya.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, distribution and procurement/ purchasing processes.
• Must be currently residing and legally authorized to work in Kenya.

The overall responsibility will be to oversee and manage all operations within the green coffee export warehouse, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant storage, handling, and dispatch of coffee for export. Your Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations Management
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, processing, bulking, and dispatch of coffee for export.
• Ensure all operations comply with quality, safety, and export regulations as per company's standard operating procedures.
