Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Infection Control and Prevention Manager to lead their programs, operating entirely remotely. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to prevent and control healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) across their facilities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, sterilization techniques, and public health guidelines, combined with exceptional leadership and communication skills to drive best practices from a distance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and procedures.
  • Monitor surveillance data for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and identify trends and areas for intervention.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential sources of infection and implement control measures.
  • Develop and deliver IPC training programs to healthcare professionals, including staff education on hand hygiene, PPE use, and isolation precautions.
  • Investigate outbreaks of infectious diseases and implement appropriate control strategies.
  • Advise on environmental cleaning and disinfection protocols, sterilization procedures, and waste management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff, to ensure effective IPC practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based guidelines and recommendations from national and international health organizations (e.g., CDC, WHO).
  • Manage the inventory and appropriate use of IPC supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in infection prevention and control, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, microbiology, and antimicrobial stewardship.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful IPC programs.
  • Strong understanding of sterilization, disinfection, and environmental cleaning principles.
