Our client, a pioneering force in the sustainable tourism industry, is seeking an experienced and passionate Regional Sales Director to drive growth and expand market reach. This is a fully remote, strategic role focused on building and managing a high-performing sales team and cultivating key partnerships within the sector. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and championing the company's commitment to responsible travel, all from your remote work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve regional revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a remote sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and success.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that highlight the unique value proposition of sustainable tourism offerings.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and challenges, adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral and promotional campaigns.
  • Manage the sales budget and forecast revenue accurately.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Stay abreast of best practices in sustainable tourism and responsible travel trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in sales management, with a significant focus on the hospitality or tourism sector.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building successful sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of the tourism industry, with a passion for sustainable travel.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in managing remote sales teams and fostering a positive remote work culture.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
  • A strong network within the tourism industry is highly desirable.
