Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic for a fully remote position. This role is designed for a certified professional who can diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying the root cause of problems, and providing accurate estimates for repairs. Key tasks include performing complex diagnostics, engine repair and rebuilds, transmission services, brake system repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting. You will utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure precise repairs. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes, and electrical components. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail. While the role is remote, it requires the candidate to have access to a well-equipped workshop and potentially travel for specific on-site diagnostics or specialized tasks as required by the client, though primary work will be managed remotely through reporting and virtual consultations. You will maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle condition and repair recommendations. ASE certifications are highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a certified automotive mechanic is required.
