DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS**
Typists perform routine clerical work which involves the operation of equipment requiring the manipulation of a standard alphanumeric keyboard in accordance with standards of acceptable levels of production. The types of equipment used to produce correspondence, reports, charts, etc. include typewriters (Spanish and English) and Electronic Word Processing Equipment, CRT Terminals, Personal Computers, Data Terminals and Printers. This position is also characterized by a broad responsibility for the performance of non-typing clerical tasks. Work is routine in nature, however, as incumbents gain experience on assignments and unit activities, additional and more complex duties are added. These additional duties do not reach the difficulty or complexity of work associated with the senior level of this series. Although detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments with procedures that are definitely fixed, incumbents must exercise independent judgment in applying them to specific cases. Work is reviewed either by observation, periodic or spot checks, cross checking by others or by checking the completed work. The position differs from Typist in that the incumbent operates both Spanish and English typewriters, translates both the Spanish and English languages and must speak the Spanish language fluently. (This class is equivalent to that of Clerk with the exception that incumbents must have the ability to type at a reasonable rate of speed.) No supervision is exercised over other employees.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES
- Works directly with Spanish-speaking individuals
Types correspondence, reports, documents, records and other materials from various sources under varying degrees of direction using equipment with the alphanumeric keyboard, i.e. typewriters (Spanish and English languages), word processing equipment, CRT terminals, personal computers data terminals and printers
sets up, makes adjustments and operates a variety of equipment in order to produce a typed copy from a variety of sources
- proofreads typed copy and makes corrections
composes and types routine correspondence and memoranda from verbal and/or written instructions
Performs a variety of non-typing clerical tasks as assigned
Files and maintains records, reports and other documents

- Translates both the Spanish and English languages
- Assists in the input of data in computer terminal
- May operate mimeograph, copy machines, microfilm, simple computing and other office machines

Under the direction and supervision of the School Principal, the Lunchtime Supervisor will monitor the students during the lunch break while promoting a safe, caring, positive and friendly environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Supervise students indoors and outdoors and be aware of their whereabouts. Communicate any concerns to the School Principal.
- Monitor student behavior and promote positive interactions, encouraging respect, kindness, and inclusivity.
- Report incidents of misconduct to the Principal or designate.
- Encourage and support appropriate play, both indoors and outdoors. Be aware of any students attempting to leave the school premises or approaching areas that are out of bounds.
- Assist with emergency situations such as fire drills.

Qualifications
Education:

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Occupational and Physical Therapy Services, the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) would be responsible for the following: assisting therapists to provide effective support to school teams for students to participate in school programming and maintaining the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy (OTPT) loan equipment and department resources in good working order;
Major Responsibilities
- Assist with the determination of accessibility needs and use of equipment in alternative settings for school programming (school trips, arts camp, work placements, etc).
- Prepare materials/resources to outline Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy recommendations for school teams or work settings e.g., photographs, videos, visuals to demonstrate appropriate positioning.
- Provide follow up visits to train school staff in routine physical management techniques as requested and supervised by a therapist in Occupational and Physical Therapy Services.
- Assist with identifying equipment best suited to student's needs, at the request of therapists in Occupational and Physical Therapy Services.
- Provide instruction of school and/or community staff regarding safe use of loaned equipment
- Visit York Region based community locations to determine physical barriers and evaluate accessibility prior to student or class use of the site and support schools to plan outings to accommodate students with mobility devices.
- Perform therapy related administrative duties (e.g. photocopying, material organizing, filing) to track and maintain consumable therapy supplies (e.g. test protocols) and professional resources e.g., SharePoint, library.
- Demonstrate accountability for professional practice standards and in accordance with established Board policies and procedures.
- Handle OTPT equipment loan inventory and maintain an asset management database.
- Inspect the safety of OTPT equipment prior to loan/use, make simple repairs, and arrange for repairs, as needed.
- Monitor selected SEA equipment re-assignments (e.g. standers, change tables) and support Occupational and Physical Therapy Services staff members with ongoing lending and return of equipment for SEA trial purposes.
- Organize, maintain and clean OT/PT equipment and storage areas.
- Schedule and attend equipment inspection of OTPT loan equipment.
- Assist school administrators with problem-solving when school-based equipment that lifts students is tagged for repair.
- Obtain appropriate equipment and supplies for Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Services, in collaboration with Purchasing Services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Occupational and Physical Therapy Services.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized 2 year Occupational Therapy Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant program, or other equivalent program.
- Minimum six months related experience.
- Is in good physical condition to be able to handle moving large equipment, e.g. standers, change tables.
- A good working knowledge of computers and Board approved/implemented software is required.
- Proficient verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must possess a valid Ontario Driver's License and have access to own transportation.

Drive student and parent referrals inside each school network.
Relationship Management
Be the primary Craydel contact for your schools.
- Support school counsellors to use Craydel high school platform (training, onboarding & usage)
Provide schools with regular performance reports (applications, offers, visas, enrolments).
Data & Reporting
Maintain CRM discipline: log all school interactions and track funnel performance.
- Share weekly updates with the Head of Schools.
- Identify risks (low-engagement schools, poor visa outcomes) early and act on them.

About The Tutor Position
Our school is looking for a qualified and self-motivated teacher to join our team of after school tutors. As a tutor, your duties will include creating engaging lessons and working with students to make sure they have the skills they need to succeed.
We're looking for someone passionate about teaching who enjoys seeing their students make progress. As well as teaching, we want someone who can create meaningful relationships with students and who will make learning fun for them.
Tutor Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and use them to implement educational materials
- Offer personalized instruction that caters to each student to meet educational standards
Tutor Requirements
- BA/BS in teaching or in a specialized subject with education certificate
- Previous experience working as a Teacher
