POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Affiliate Video & Technology Associate will be a member of the Baseball Technology team embedded in the Player Development department and is responsible for managing video and data collection using various cutting-edge technologies at their assigned affiliate. The position oversees the accurate collection and delivery of video and data in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with the coaching staff, coordinators, and members of the Player Development, Baseball Systems, and Analytics departments. In addition to on-the-job exposure, Associates participate in an educational curriculum designed to build baseball operations-wide competencies. Associates will conclude the program with meaningful exposure to the Red Sox player development environment while building technical and analytical skills.

TIMELINE: This role begins in February 2026 and runs through October 2026. Candidates must be available to work each home and away game throughout the season (and playoffs, if applicable), including nights, weekends, and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect game and non-game video, setting up multiple cameras, and using BATS video software.
  • Organize and distribute game video and performance reports to players and staff.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of advance scouting materials, working closely with the affiliate coaching staff to optimize game preparation.
  • Operate and maintain various technologies used at our affiliates, such as Blast, Rapsodo, Trackman, Trajekt, Hawkeye, HitTrax, Kinatrax, high frame rate cameras among others.
