  • Lead the structural design of major civil engineering projects, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure.
  • Develop innovative and cost-effective structural concepts and solutions.
  • Perform advanced structural analysis and calculations using specialized software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS, Eurocodes, ASCE).
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineering staff, providing technical guidance and professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams in a remote setting.
  • Review and approve structural designs submitted by external consultants.
  • Conduct site visits for inspection and problem-solving as required (occasionally).
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction techniques.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets related to structural engineering aspects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent registration/chartership.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the analysis and design of various structural systems.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
  • Strong knowledge of material science and construction methods.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Experience with seismic design and performance-based design is highly advantageous.
