You will be responsible for conducting detailed reservoir characterization, performing performance analysis, forecasting production, and developing optimized field development plans. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluation. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant reservoir engineering software, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment are essential. You will play a key role in maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring the economic viability of exploration and production assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological and geophysical data, well logs, core analysis, and production data.
  • Perform reservoir performance analysis, including production data analysis, decline curve analysis, and rate transient analysis.
  • Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to forecast future production and evaluate development scenarios.
  • Plan and execute reservoir engineering studies to optimize field development and maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Conduct economic evaluations of development projects, including reserves estimation and project profitability analysis.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscientists, production engineers, and drilling engineers, to develop integrated field development plans.
  • Recommend optimal well placement, completion strategies, and production enhancement techniques.
  • Monitor reservoir performance and recommend adjustments to operational strategies.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest reservoir engineering technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, PETREL RE, CMG).
  • Strong understanding of reservoir fluid properties, rock mechanics, and fluid flow in porous media.
  • Experience with reserves estimation (e.g., SPE guidelines) and economic evaluation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in reservoir management.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
