As the Head of Commercial (Insurance) at Perfios, the incumbent will be responsible for spearheading and executing our strategy to meet and surpass revenue goals in the East Africa region. This strategic role demands a deep understanding of the insurance landscape, strong client engagement, and a solution-oriented approach. You will be responsible for building and nurturing key relationships, uncovering client needs, and delivering high-impact, customized solutions that position Perfios as a trusted transformation partner.
What you'll do:
• Market Development & Revenue Achievement:
Design and implement strategic sales plans aimed at achieving company objectives and driving revenue growth within the East Africa market.
• Client Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with
key clients and stakeholders, gaining insights into their business challenges and
providing value-driven solutions.
• Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with product development and customer
success teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies and a seamless customer
experience.
• Negotiation and Closing:
Lead negotiations with potential clients and successfully
close deals that align with company objectives and profitability goals.
What you'll Need:
• Experience:
A minimum of 7 and upto 12 years in B2B technology sales, with a proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth. Established network of C-suite relationships within the BFSI sector in East Africa is essential.
• Industry Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of Operations & Technology, Health Insurance, Underwriting & Customer Onboarding processes in Insurance related environment
• Technical Knowledge:
An understanding of technology products and services, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences. Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
• Communication Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with
the capacity to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Self-starter:
With a geographically team that delivers on business outcomes, this role requires the ability to be a "self-starter" and operate in independent manner and a willingness to act as an "entrepreneur" as we look to set up and grow the Insurance business in the region
