Our client, a pioneer in advanced aviation solutions, is looking for a visionary Lead Avionics Software Architect to join their entirely remote engineering department. This critical role, based with remote access to our operations in Kericho, Kericho, KE , will shape the future of aircraft software systems. You will be responsible for defining the architectural blueprint for complex avionics software, ensuring it meets stringent safety, reliability, and performance standards. This involves setting coding standards, selecting appropriate software technologies, and guiding development teams through the entire software lifecycle. You will work on diverse projects, from new aircraft development to modernization programs, requiring a deep understanding of real-time operating systems, embedded software, and aviation standards such as DO-178C. Your expertise will be crucial in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions that integrate seamlessly with aircraft hardware and other systems. This position requires exceptional leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and the ability to foster innovation within a distributed team. You will collaborate closely with systems engineers, hardware designers, and safety experts to ensure all software components are robust and compliant.
