  • Design and execute computational analyses of large-scale biological datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
  • Develop novel algorithms and statistical methods for data interpretation.
  • Collaborate with research teams to define experimental designs and data analysis strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior bioinformaticians and computational biologists.
  • Present research findings to internal teams and at scientific conferences.
  • Contribute to research strategy and grant proposals.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and related computational fields.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and reproducibility of data analysis.
  • Manage collaborations with external research partners.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of experience in bioinformatics research.
  • Extensive experience with genomic and transcriptomic data analysis.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and high-performance computing clusters.
  • Excellent understanding of biological pathways and molecular biology.
  • Proven track record of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
