- Contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the genomics and bioinformatics research program.
- Ph.D. in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of post-doctoral research experience in genomics and bioinformatics, with a strong publication record.
- Extensive experience with various NGS technologies and data analysis platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R, Perl) and experience with shell scripting.
- Deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and their application to biological data.
- Experience with reference genome assemblies, variant calling, gene expression analysis, and epigenomics.
- Proven ability to lead research projects, manage teams, and mentor junior scientists.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated success in grant writing and securing funding is highly desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fully remote, collaborative research setting, demonstrating strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms for large-scale data analysis is a plus.
