Job Summary
Join Mazzetti's innovative team as a Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Spring Semester and/or Summer Internship and gain hands-on experience shaping the built environment This internship provides opportunities to learn and assist with building calculations, system modeling, preparing construction drawings, coordinating efforts within Mazzetti (including sustainability and LEED initiatives), and collaborating with other disciplines. You may also have the chance to participate in limited construction observation activities.
Your Tasks Will Involve
Design And Modeling
- Performing building calculations to support engineering designs.
- Modeling mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using advanced tools and software.
- Preparing and refining construction drawings in collaboration with project teams.
- Learning and applying industry-standard tools like CAD and Revit to produce high-quality deliverables.
Sustainability And Innovation
- Supporting sustainability initiatives, including LEED documentation and energy modeling (if applicable).
- Contributing to innovative, sustainable solutions for the built environment.
Collaboration And Coordination
- Coordinating efforts with the Mazzetti team and other disciplines to ensure project success.
- Participating in project planning and design discussions to gain insights into real-world engineering challenges.
- Collaborating with mentors and peers to develop technical and professional skills.
Construction And Observation
- Participating in limited construction observation activities to understand the implementation of designs on-site.
Work Location:
This position is based near one of our Mazzetti offices in
St. Louis, MO; San Francisco, CA; Sacramento, CA; or Huntington Beach, CA
. The role follows a hybrid work arrangement, including time spent in the office, at project sites, and working remotely from home.
Travel Requirements:

Expertise And Abilities You Will Contribute
Education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, or Environmental)
Technical Skills
- Experience with CAD and Revit drafting/drawing production.
- Energy modeling experience is a plus.
Certification
- In pursuit of or eligible to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
