  • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal department policies and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Admission to the bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance, preferably within a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Expertise in relevant legal areas such as employment law, intellectual property, and data privacy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Experience advising multinational corporations is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan corporate and regulatory landscape is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the legal environment in Embu, Embu, KE is advantageous.
