About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently load/unload products from trucks according to daily offloading schedules.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on loading equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
  • Secure all loads correctly using appropriate methods and materials (straps, chains, dunnage) to prevent damage, shifting, or loss during transportation, in accordance with road safety regulations.
  • Verify product and quantity against loading documentation (e.g.packing lists) to ensure 100% accuracy for each shipment.
  • Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in the waste compactor and the surroundings.
  • Strictly adhere to all company HSE policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Operate all machinery and equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with truck drivers, and supervisors to ensure a smooth and coordinated workflow.

Requirements:

·   A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent is required.

·   A minimum of one (1) year of proven experience in a similar loading, safeguarding, or warehouse role, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced logistics environment.

·   Basic knowledge of load securing techniques and weight distribution principles.

·   Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English and/or Kiswahili.
