Our Mission

PlayOps is creating a global simulation to replace résumés with real proof of skill, behavior, and action.

This is not a traditional internship; it's part of a movement. You'll design, imagine, and prototype how systems, interfaces, and proof might look in a world beyond résumés.

What is PlayOps?

PlayOps is an
ARG (Alternate Reality Game)
— an interactive story that uses the real world as its platform. Instead of a mobile app, everything unfolds through
Telegram text missions
and daily storytelling.

But PlayOps isn't a typical ARG. It's also a
documentary.
Every mission, reflection, and archived post becomes part of the record — proof, not résumé.

The story is already in motion.
The full program runs for
12 weeks
, but depending on when you join, you'll step into a different part of the live arc. Some cohorts begin in the early
Feed exposure
phase, while others arrive later as the focus shifts toward problem-solving and building the Grid. Wherever you start, you join the global narrative in progress.

• The Feed
  → the broken systems we're exposing. Think of the endless scroll, the filters, and the algorithms shaping our lives.

  → what we're building next. A new system where proof of action replaces résumés, and collaboration creates opportunity.

version of you that carries your role forward inside the weekly cinematic episodes. This is optional — the core experience is mission-based gameplay in Telegram.

What You'll Do

• Join the global community in one
  daily mission
  posted on Telegram.
• Each mission gives you
  24 hours to complete
  and typically takes
  30–60 minutes.
• Reflect, design, and propose solutions that connect story + systems.
• Share sketches, wireframes, or system outlines in the Builder thread.
• Collaborate with story players (Decoders, Lorekeepers, Feedwatchers) to connect narrative and tech.
• (Optional) Appear as yourself or as an AI twin in YouTube/Roku episodes.

Builder Roles You Can Play

• UX/UI Architect
  – Imagine and prototype how missions, dashboards, or proof systems could work.
• Interface Architect (Front-End Dev)
  – Design how proof of action should look and feel for players.
• System Builder (Back-End Dev)
  – Propose or outline systems to log and verify actions, ensuring proofs can't be erased.

Requirements

• Must have
  Telegram

  LinkedIn
  accounts (you can create them if you don't already).
• English does
  not
  need to be your first language.
• You only need to
  read and type in English
  (all text-based).
• No video calls or audio — everything happens through typed messages.
• Global + Remote (any country welcome).
• Expect
  30–60 minutes daily
  (7–10 hrs/week).

for professional development and authorship. You'll leave with:

• Designing mechanical parts, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
• Conducting stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other simulations to validate designs.
• Developing prototypes and overseeing their testing and validation.
• Creating detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Collaborating with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
• Troubleshooting design issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Researching and evaluating new materials and technologies for product enhancement.
• Maintaining project documentation and design records.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles (e.g., thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, statics, dynamics).
• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) is highly desirable.
• Basic knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for new products, from concept to production readiness.
• Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) for 3D modeling, drafting, and creating detailed design documentation.
• Perform engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, strain, and thermal performance, to validate designs.
• Select appropriate materials based on application requirements, considering factors like strength, durability, cost, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing specialists, in a remote setting.
• Develop and refine prototypes, conducting testing and iterative design improvements to meet performance specifications.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless production.
• Troubleshoot design issues and identify root causes, implementing effective solutions.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes in mechanical engineering.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and engineering analysis tools (FEA).
• Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, CNC machining), and thermodynamics.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Experience with prototyping and testing methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

• Lead and contribute to the conceptual design and detailed engineering of new aircraft.
• Perform aerodynamic analyses, structural integrity assessments, and performance simulations.

• Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to ensure design feasibility and validation.
