JOB OVERVIEW
A family-centric, faith-based transportation company is seeking to engage a Business Growth & Development Lead to drive organizational growth by leading business development initiatives, streamlining operations, and implementing effective processes. This position is central to the organization and therefore requires a versatile, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented individual.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams in alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Lead client acquisition efforts by developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and building long-term relationships.
- Establish and maintain strong networks with stakeholders, partners, and clients to enhance the company's market position.
- Collaboration with business units leads to design and implement ideas that drive customer acquisition and brand growth.
- Liaise with the management team to ensure seamless operations across all business units.
- Innovate, develop, and establish structures, systems, processes, policies, and procedures to govern existing and future Business Units within and affiliated with the organization's business model.
- Ensure adherence to the set standard operating procedures (SOPs) across business functions.
- Review reports from various business functions and units, analyze data, and submit comprehensive insights to the Directors for strategic decision-making; Supervise and track performance targets within each business unit.
- Work with the accounts department and business units' heads to prepare budgets and weekly requisitions covering all activities, ensuring timely payments to staff, suppliers, and utilities.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records are maintained for operational and financial decision-making; Ensure statutory deductions are correctly processed, filed, and submitted on time.
- Work closely with the HR department to facilitate activities affecting the organization's employees.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing- or Business related Field.
- 4-6yrs experience in Business Development roles.
- 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
- Demonstrable Business Administration experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Good organizational with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and be productive under pressure.
- Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
