Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and optimization of production systems, workflows, and layouts. Conduct detailed analyses of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop and implement solutions using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools. Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials. Perform capacity planning and resource allocation studies. Utilize simulation software and data analysis tools to model and predict system performance. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams to define project requirements and objectives. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers, fostering their professional development. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in industrial engineering and technology. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on findings and recommendations. This role demands excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on driving quantifiable results. The ability to manage projects and influence stakeholders effectively in a remote setting is paramount.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process optimization and system design. Extensive experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (black belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and manage a remote team effectively. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
