The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in chemical engineering principles, process simulation, scale-up, and troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues. You will lead projects aimed at improving efficiency, yield, safety, and sustainability within our client's production facilities. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage projects and collaborate effectively with diverse, remote teams. You will work closely with R&D, operations, and quality control departments to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
- Conducting feasibility studies and pilot plant trials for new processes and technologies.
- Developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Utilizing process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and analyze process performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex operational issues in chemical manufacturing plants.
- Implementing process control strategies to ensure stable and optimal operations.

- Mentoring junior process engineers and providing technical guidance.
- Managing process engineering projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and budget control.
- Staying current with advancements in chemical engineering and manufacturing technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in process design, optimization, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and process modeling techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of unit operations, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
- Experience with process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead remote teams.
- Proficiency in project management and CAD software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
