Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for assigned spend areas, aligned with business objectives and market dynamics.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including market research, supplier identification, RFx development, evaluation, and negotiation.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance with contract terms.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, process improvements, and demand management.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of spend data, market intelligence, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate favorable contract terms and pricing with suppliers to maximize value and mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Operations, Finance, R&D) to understand their needs and ensure alignment on procurement strategies.
- Develop and implement supplier performance management programs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Monitor key category performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks within assigned categories.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices in procurement, and emerging technologies.
- Lead cross-functional teams on strategic sourcing projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) are a plus.
- Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement roles, with a proven track record of driving substantial cost savings.
- Expertise in developing and implementing complex category strategies.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in spend analysis, market research, and supplier evaluation techniques.
- Experience with e-procurement systems and P2P processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, essential for remote team collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory aspects of procurement.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and value creation.
