Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Perl, along with experience in relevant bioinformatics databases and software packages, are essential. The ability to work independently, manage research projects, and effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement robust bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of large-scale genomic and transcriptomic data.
  • Perform sophisticated statistical analysis and interpretation of genomic datasets from various high-throughput sequencing technologies.
  • Develop and apply novel computational methods and algorithms to address complex biological questions.
  • Collaborate with experimental scientists to design studies, analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Contribute to the generation of high-quality research publications and presentations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements in bioinformatics, genomics, and related fields.
  • Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the scientific discourse within the R&D team.
  • Ensure data integrity, reproducibility, and adherence to best practices in computational research.

Required Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in bioinformatics and genomics.
  • Extensive experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-Seq).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Perl, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
  • Experience with major bioinformatics databases (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl) and software tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fully remote research environment.
