- Contribute to the strategic direction of the research division and the development of new research areas.
- Manage research resources, including computational infrastructure and laboratory supplies, as applicable.
- Ph.D. in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral research experience with a strong publication record in leading scientific journals.
- Extensive hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing technologies (e.g., Illumina, PacBio, Oxford Nanopore).
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R, Perl) and experience with relevant bioinformatics software packages and databases.
- Expertise in statistical genetics, population genetics, and/or systems biology.
- Demonstrated experience in managing research projects and leading research teams.
- Proven ability to secure external research funding through competitive grant applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
