  • Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and other disciplines to optimize well placement and performance.
  • Review and approve drilling procedures, contractor performance, and service quality.
  • Stay current with emerging drilling technologies and innovative techniques.
  • Prepare post-well reports and conduct lessons learned sessions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior drilling engineers.
  • Manage relationships with service providers and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. Advanced degrees or specialized training are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering, with a significant portion focused on operational planning and execution.
  • Demonstrated expertise in various drilling environments (onshore, offshore, deepwater).
  • Proficiency in drilling software and simulation tools (e.g., Landmark, Schlumberger suites).
  • Strong understanding of well control principles, casing design, cementing, and completion practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, crucial for remote collaboration.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic operational demands in a remote setting.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection and a secure, distraction-free remote workspace.
