Project Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing complex financial models for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance transactions, valuation analyses, and strategic advisory services. You will work closely with senior bankers and deal teams, providing critical quantitative support for client engagements across various industries. Key responsibilities include developing bespoke valuation models (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis), building intricate three-statement models, and performing sensitivity and scenario analyses. The Senior Financial Modeler will also play a role in preparing client presentations, investment memorandums, and other transaction-related materials. A strong grasp of accounting principles and financial statement analysis is essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for M&A, LBOs, IPOs, and general corporate finance purposes.
  • Perform detailed valuation analyses using various methodologies (DCF, Comps, Precedents).
  • Construct integrated three-statement financial models with robust forecasting capabilities.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and investment banking marketing materials.
  • Analyze financial statements, industry data, and market trends to support transaction analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with investment banking teams on deal execution and client advisory.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reasonableness of all financial models and outputs.
  • Stay abreast of market developments and evolving financial modeling best practices.
  • Provide quantitative support for due diligence processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial modeling, preferably within investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, VBA, and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information effectively.
