Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Industrial Engineer to lead process optimization initiatives within their manufacturing operations. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote flexibility with essential on-site collaboration. You will be responsible for analyzing complex production systems, identifying inefficiencies, and designing and implementing solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your duties will include conducting time and motion studies, developing lean manufacturing strategies, and optimizing workflow and plant layout. You will utilize advanced engineering principles, statistical analysis, and simulation tools to model and evaluate process improvements. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with production teams, management, and cross-functional departments to drive continuous improvement. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and quality management systems is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the analysis and redesign of industrial processes.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, and workflow analysis.
  • Optimize plant layout, material flow, and production scheduling.
  • Utilize simulation and modeling tools to evaluate process changes.
  • Collaborate with production teams and management to implement solutions.
  • Manage cross-functional projects related to process optimization.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Industrial Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of process optimization techniques (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., P.Eng., CMfgE) are advantageous.
