Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Environmental Science with a strong quantitative focus, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas).
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with GIS software and spatial data analysis is highly desirable.
  • Excellent data visualization skills and experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
  • A passion for environmental issues and conservation is essential.
