Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Electrical Engineering Lead to drive innovation and excellence in their power systems division. This is a critical, fully remote leadership role where you will guide a talented team of engineers in the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical power solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in power systems engineering, a proven ability to lead complex projects, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing remote work environment. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our client's energy technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers in the design, analysis, and testing of electrical power systems and components.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that align with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, software development, and project management, to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of system performance, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in electrical engineering and power systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports.
  • Facilitate design reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Contribute to the recruitment and development of engineering talent within the team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the remote engineering team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on power systems design and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
  • Expertise in power electronics, rotating machinery, control systems, and grid integration.
  • Proficiency in relevant simulation and design software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, PSS/E, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, adapted for remote team dynamics.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly preferred.
