Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Clinical Social Worker to join their fully remote team, providing critical support to individuals and communities in Garissa. This role is vital in delivering trauma-informed care, case management, and psychosocial support services. You will work directly with clients, assessing their needs, developing individualized care plans, and connecting them with appropriate resources. The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician with a strong commitment to social justice and a deep understanding of trauma-informed therapeutic modalities. This is a remote-first position, requiring excellent virtual communication and organizational skills.

- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges, particularly in the context of trauma.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, setting measurable goals and objectives with clients.
- Provide direct therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family counseling, utilizing evidence-based trauma-informed approaches.
- Facilitate access to community resources, including healthcare, housing, employment, and legal services.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Collaborate with other service providers, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to coordinate care.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within various systems.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to junior social work staff and interns.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Contribute to program development and evaluation from a remote setting.
- Ensure culturally sensitive and responsive service delivery.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid professional license (e.g., LCSW, LSW) in good standing.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of post-MSW experience in clinical social work, with a significant focus on trauma-informed care.
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities for trauma (e.g., EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT).
- Strong knowledge of community resources and referral networks.
- Excellent assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for remote work.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain professional boundaries in a remote setting.
- Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
