  • Develop and implement state-of-the-art computational and statistical methods for genomic, proteomic, and transcriptomic data analysis.
  • Design and execute analyses to identify novel biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and disease mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, biologists, and clinicians to define research questions and data analysis strategies.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing and analyzing large biological datasets.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to predictive modeling, classification, and pattern recognition in biological systems.
  • Ensure the reproducibility and rigor of all data analyses performed.
  • Present research findings to scientific audiences, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to grant writing and publication of research results.
  • Evaluate and adopt new technologies and methodologies in bioinformatics and data science.
  • Manage project timelines and resources effectively within a remote team structure.
Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science with a specialization in bioinformatics.
  • Proven experience leading data science or bioinformatics teams.
  • Expertise in analyzing large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, or proteomic datasets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects.
