How you create impact
- Responsible for general facility Security for all sites in line with local needs and Regulated Agent Status
- Responsible for all 3rd party security service providers and staffs including certification.
- Responsible for coordination of all Airlines, ground handling agents (GHA's) and related audits.
- RA3 Compliance of shippers, known Shipper and known consignors.
- Drawing up SOP's that are related to security compliance programs to improve the structure and efficiency of Departments within the Organization and ensure they are followed.
- Identify security deficiencies and recommends remedial action.
- Oversees the training of security staff to ensure updating of skills and proper handling of operational functions as provided for in the International and local practices.
- Instituting measures to ensure the Company's compliance to local and international security standards.
- Responsible for the effective implementation of security measures and controls as required by Airport Authorities.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all the organizations boundary and electric fence in liaison with the service provider.
- Responsible for ensuring all the fire safety equipment are maintained as per health and safety requirement and repaired as and when needed in liaison with the service provider.
- Responsible for keeping up to date all the licensing of X-Ray, Scales and other regulated equipment within Kuehne+Nagel
- Ensure company and staff compliance for Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Aviation Security (AVSEC), Kenya Airports Authority (KAA), Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA), Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS)/ Horticultural Crops Development Authority (HCDA).
- Ensuring that staff are compliant to work at ground handling agents (GHAs).
What we would like you to bring
- Bachelors / First University Degree in Security Studies
- 3-5 years' work experience in Air logistics.
- A Certified Aviation Security Professional (CASP) or equivalent.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma
- Crisis Management or Emergency Response Training
- Experience in Air Logistics operations, compliance & Security standards.
- Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Legal & Regulatory Knowledge.
- Ability to analyze threats and vulnerabilities across national operations
- Sound judgment under pressure, especially during security incidents
- Report writing and presentation skills for senior leadership
- Adaptability to changing regulations, technologies, and geopolitical risks
