Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of crop protection strategies.
  • Conduct research on pests, diseases, and weeds affecting key agricultural crops.
  • Evaluate the efficacy, safety, and environmental impact of crop protection products.
  • Design and manage field trials to assess product performance and gather data.
  • Develop and promote integrated pest management (IPM) programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on crop protection matters.
  • Manage a team of researchers and field technicians.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs and product stewardship teams.
  • Stay informed about current research, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external research institutions and industry partners.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or PhD in Entomology, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Weed Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in crop protection research and development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing field trials.
  • Strong knowledge of crop physiology, pest biology, and disease cycles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory and field environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory processes for crop protection products.
