Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced process control strategies for complex chemical manufacturing operations, including PID loops, model predictive control (MPC), and fuzzy logic systems.
- Specify, select, and integrate instrumentation and automation hardware, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and field devices.
- Develop and maintain control system software, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and associated databases.
- Perform process modeling and simulation to analyze system behavior and optimize control strategies.
- Conduct control system audits, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable and safe operation.
- Implement advanced process control (APC) solutions to improve yield, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with process engineers, plant operators, and IT specialists in a remote setting to integrate and commission control systems.
- Develop and execute FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) protocols.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in process control and automation engineering within the chemical industry.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing control systems for continuous and batch chemical processes.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell), DCS (e.g., Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion), and SCADA systems.
- Experience with process modeling and simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Proficiency in control system programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, essential for effective remote teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver results in a demanding, remote environment.
- Familiarity with safety instrumented systems (SIS) and functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508/61511).
