Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Systems Technician for a fully remote position. In this role, you will be responsible for the remote oversight, diagnosis, and guidance of electrical system maintenance and repair across various facilities. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of electrical schematics, control systems, and diagnostic tools to provide expert support to on-site teams. The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues, interpret technical documentation, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of critical electrical infrastructure from a distance.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing remote technical expertise and support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Analyzing electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose faults and recommend solutions.
  • Guiding on-site technicians through complex troubleshooting processes via remote communication channels.
  • Monitoring the performance of electrical systems and identifying potential issues before they lead to downtime.
  • Developing and updating standard operating procedures for electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and electrical codes.
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance activities.
  • Training and mentoring junior technicians on best practices for electrical system maintenance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all diagnostic activities, repairs performed, and parts utilized.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and modifications.
  • Identifying and sourcing necessary electrical components and spare parts.
  • Performing remote diagnostics on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and other control systems.
  • Advising on the optimal configuration and calibration of electrical equipment.
  • Reviewing and approving maintenance reports generated by on-site teams.
  • Contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the technical department.
A strong understanding of power distribution, motor controls, and industrial automation is essential.
