THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING (ECE) AT VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of the Practice of Electrical and Computer Engineering position with target start dates of Fall 2025. Primary responsibilities are to develop and teach classes in the Applied AI curriculum. Teach online classes, contribute the undergraduate ECE curriculum, and assist with programmatic certification. This is a term appointment, eligible for renewal, contingent on performance. We are committed to teaching and research excellence and have fully integrated professors of the practice and lecturers into ECE faculty operations.

, one at the level of tenure-track Assistant Professor and one at the level of tenured Professor eligible for an endowed chair.

Areas of particular interest include
gene therapy, drug delivery, protein engineering, genome engineering, synthetic biology, immunoengineering, mechanobiology, and application of machine learning or other computational methods toward biomaterial, drug, or biologic discovery and optimization
