Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join their fully remote architecture team. This is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures across multi-cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Azure and AWS. You will work with a talented, geographically dispersed team, providing technical leadership and architectural guidance to ensure our client's cloud strategy aligns with business objectives and technological advancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect comprehensive cloud solutions leveraging Azure, AWS, and potentially other cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural direction to development and operations teams.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture best practices, standards, and guidelines.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance our client's cloud capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
  • Lead the implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure, ensuring adherence to architectural blueprints.
  • Oversee cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the remote team.
  • Contribute to cost optimization strategies for cloud services.
  • Stay current with the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices.
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Participate in the review of technical designs and implementations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and solutions architecture, with a significant focus on cloud computing (Azure and AWS are essential).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, high-availability cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and serverless technologies on Azure and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and initiatives in a fully remote, collaborative setting.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
