  • Developing system requirements, specifications, and test plans based on mission objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Performing system analysis, simulation, and modeling to validate design performance and identify potential issues.
  • Collaborating closely with hardware and software development teams to ensure timely and efficient implementation of avionics solutions.
  • Conducting system integration, verification, and validation activities, both in simulation and on-aircraft.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues that arise during the development and testing phases.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to the team.
  • Contributing to project planning, risk assessment, and budget management.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in avionics technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Preparing and presenting technical documentation, reports, and findings to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all designs and processes comply with relevant aviation safety standards and certifications (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
  • Participating in design reviews and contributing expert opinions on system architecture and trade-offs.

The successful candidate will hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in aerospace systems engineering, specifically focusing on avionics. Strong knowledge of real-time operating systems, digital signal processing, embedded systems, and communication protocols is crucial. Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, and familiarity with avionics standards is required. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
