Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer & Digital Strategist to join their innovative team. This position is fully remote, allowing you to shape digital experiences from anywhere in Kenya, though based within our Nairobi, Nairobi, KE hub. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning user interfaces and seamless user experiences across various digital platforms, including web and mobile applications. Your role extends beyond design; you will develop comprehensive digital strategies that align user needs with business objectives, driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Key responsibilities include conducting user research, creating user personas, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to translate requirements into effective design solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, current UI/UX trends, and best practices in interaction design and visual aesthetics. You will lead design critiques, mentor junior designers, and champion the user perspective throughout the product development lifecycle. As a Digital Strategist, you will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and user behavior data to inform digital campaign strategies, SEO/SEM efforts, and content marketing initiatives. - A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and visual design for web and mobile platforms.
- Experience in developing and executing digital marketing and content strategies.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision).
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and usability testing.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media marketing principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills for remote work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Must be legally eligible to work remotely in Kenya.
