Our client, a leading sports technology and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Sports Analytics Consultant to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for providing advanced data-driven insights to sports organizations, helping them optimize player performance, strategy, and business operations. You will work with professional teams and leagues, leveraging sophisticated analytical techniques and tools to interpret complex datasets related to player statistics, game dynamics, and fan engagement. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in sports analytics, data science, and statistical modeling, coupled with excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations. You will collaborate closely with coaches, management, and athletes to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions. - Contribute to the development of proprietary analytical tools and methodologies.
- Communicate complex findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in sports science, data analytics, and performance metrics.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Data Science, Sports Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports analytics, data science, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with large datasets and advanced statistical modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep understanding of sports performance metrics and game dynamics across various disciplines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience working in a remote team setting and collaborating effectively across distances.
