Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and other security appliances.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity, investigating and responding to security incidents.
- Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of network design and operations.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with various security technologies, including firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDPS, SIEM (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), and endpoint security solutions.
- Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
- Experience with cloud security principles and best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCIE Security, CCNP Security, or GIAC are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
