Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and apply advanced CFD models for complex fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena.
- Perform simulations for product design, analysis, and optimization, including aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, thermal management, and combustion.
- Prepare detailed simulation plans, set up complex geometries, generate high-quality meshes, and define appropriate boundary conditions.
- Analyze simulation results, interpret data, and generate comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, R&D teams, and other stakeholders to integrate simulation insights into the product development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in CFD methodologies, software, and hardware.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in CFD techniques and best practices.
- Develop and maintain best practices for CFD workflows and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of in-house simulation tools and capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong emphasis on fluid mechanics and computational methods.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in applying CFD for industrial applications.
- Expert proficiency in commercial CFD software packages such as ANSYS Fluent/CFX, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling, heat transfer, and numerical methods.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and meshing tools (e.g., ANSYS Meshing, Pointwise).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, TCL) for automation and post-processing is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Superb communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote working environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
